To keep your visa from being canceled by the SEVIS Computer system, your sponsor must validate your visa within 2 weeks of the start date on your DS-2019 form. At the time of validation, sponsors are to verify that the current U.S. address of the exchange visitor is correct.

SEVIS will automatically terminate the Form issued to an exchange visitor if a sponsor fails to validate his/her participation in a program prior to 30-days of the program start date.

The deadline for sending WISE® information is 2 weeks from your arrival date. Later information could cause your visa to become invalid.
